Leadership and Innovation Discussed at Hanyang University in Seoul
André Lacroix recently had the opportunity to speak at Hanyang University in Seoul, a cutting-edge centre for STEM research and technical expertise that has contributed to giving South Korea a technological advantage in many global industries.
Originally established in 1939 as an engineering school, the university has developed into one of the nation’s premier academic institutions, with many graduates employed in executive positions across a range of practical industries around the world.
During his visit, André highlighted the achievements of Hanyang’s Leadership Centre, which offers a truly global approach to leadership development with an emphasis on social responsibility.
The principles outlined in his book, Leadership with Soul, closely align with this philosophy, demonstrating how a more humanistic approach to leadership can empower and unleash the full potential of any organisation.
He urged the students not to become too focused on chasing short-term goals and explained that putting people at the heart of strategic thinking is the only way to create sustainable growth and value for all.
Confidence is expressed that the students at Hanyang will go on to forge careers that make a significant difference in our globally connected world.
