Developing Intertek’s Future Leaders
A few years ago, Andre Lacroix realised that his 25 years’ experience as a CEO offered a unique perspective into the complex world of leadership. He believes that many organisations today are over-managed and under-led, and that the only way to lead effectively is to put people at the heart of the organisation’s growth strategy.
That’s why he took the time to design his own leadership model, consisting of 10 principles, creating a structured approach to good leadership. He explores this model in his book, Leadership with Soul, discussing the 10 principles, each of which is integral to being an effective leader and unleashing the potential of a company whilst making the workplace a better place.
At Intertek, Leadership with Soul is central to its 10X Leadership programme that offers a fully immersive leadership development experience for senior teams, comprising a range of lectures and leadership exchanges on the 10 key principles outlined in the book. They organise this event twice a year, and Lacroix always looks forward to spending time with his colleagues at this week-long event.
Leadership events are held in iconic locations, each of which is chosen to help unlock thinking and act as a catalyst for self-reflection and change. Andre would like to recognise all the 10X Leadership alumni who have participated in a full, valuable week in Athens, Oxford, Orlando, and Abu Dhabi to stop and think on how they could take their leadership approach forward.
