André Lacroix’s 2022 visit to India
In October 2022, André was fortunate enough to spend some time in India where he was able to share his book, Leadership with Soul, in a market which has been so valuable to the success of Intertek. He wanted to take time to reflect and share some of the personal highlights from his time there.
He had the honour of speaking with over 100 incredibly bright business school students at the XLRI Delhi-NCR campus where he shared his personal leadership journey and the humanist principles that sit at the heart of the book. He especially thanks Director XLRI, Dr. (Fr.) K.S. Casimir, S.J. for his kind and inspirational remarks at the end of the session.
He also had the privilege of visiting students at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, home to some of the leading management education programmes in India, a school that teaches leadership, fresh thinking, and positive impact. He wants to take this opportunity to thank the curious and ambitious minds of the students who asked so many questions about finding their own paths towards future leadership.
During what was a busy day, it was great for him to have time to meet with various CHROs and HR thought leaders from leading companies. In his eyes, it’s always valuable to hear from others about their leadership journey and corporate trajectories of successful and sustainable leadership. He particularly thanks ETHRWorld for bringing everyone together.
Importantly he also met with CEOs and senior team members from global brands, as well as Intertek’s customers to thank them for their support, in what was a challenging two years for all. They engaged with the principles outlined in Leadership with Soul which spurred lively discussions on using them to better impact a changed work environment in the post Covid world.
And finally, he got to spend time with some of his fantastic Intertek colleagues, it’s always a pleasure for him to get together during his market visits. As part of Intertek’s regular employee townhall they had an inspiring discussion about what the future of leadership looks like and how together they can create a workplace where everyone can flourish.
