An exciting week down under
Last month André Lacroix was back Australia, one of the nicest countries in the world. It has an incredibly diverse landscape, with vibrant cities and the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the Outback.
During his visit, he spent time with Intertek’s Australia Minerals team at the Global Centre of Excellence in Perth – the largest Intertek Minerals laboratory in the world – where he discussed the exciting new opportunities that the team are taking forward for the minerals and mining industry, from automated robotic laboratory systems to the innovative metallurgical testing services. This is truly a state-of-the-art laboratory, and André loved seeing the fantastic work being done by the team, in light of the growing demand for greener minerals supporting the global energy transition.
Having met with over 150 colleagues at the Centre of Excellence, André was delighted to present 10X Energy Awards to Rosemary Pratt, Eder Casanova, Tania Pfieffer, Jan Suero, Morris Matrus, Amanda Jones, Edilberto Enierga, Paula Walsh, Pilar Walker, John Willis, Fatemah Zakiaghl, Harindra Jayasinghe and Isaac Boag for their exceptional dedication and performance in the Perth team.
He also had the privilege of leading an event with a group of 40 students at the renowned The University of Western Australia Business School in Perth, where we explored the 10 principles from his book Leadership with Soul, each of which is essential for being a successful leader and making the workplace more productive and fulfilling. The students’ critical thinking and engaging questions were truly inspiring, and he left confident that they will lead by example in the future.
Sydney is another great city he spent time in during his trip. Congratulations to Jonathan Rhodes, Magdalena Larkin, Muzamil Qureshi, Sanyoto Lokito, Rachael Oliver and Ross Guastalegname who received the 10X Energy Awards at our Townhall event for their outstanding performance.
This was also a great chance for André to spend some quality time with senior members of the regional leadership team, including Ayush Dhital, Emma Carrol, Adam Christensen, Pablo Alvarez, Daniel Heggie, Anand Shankaran and Sakib Khan, to discuss the growth they are delivering as well as the exciting growth opportunities that lie ahead.
It was an exciting week down under, and Andre looks forward to his next visit.
