Exploring effective leadership at The Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s University, Texas
André Lacroix took part in a Fireside Chat at The Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s University, Texas. This prestigious institution was ranked number 5 in the U.S. News & World Report 2025 rankings for Best Regional Universities and 2nd for Undergraduate Teaching Programs in the West.
Engaging with the bright minds in this top-performing university was both inspiring and energising, and the setting provided the perfect backdrop for a meaningful exchange of ideas between André and the students.
The conversation, moderated by Dean Alexis Stokes, focused on the principles outlined in André’s book Leadership with Soul and the importance of taking a human-centred approach to leave a sustainable legacy. André shared his experiences from over 25 years of leadership across global companies, and was again reminded of the incredible potential that lies within the next generation of leaders.
What struck him most was the students’ eagerness to understand how effective leadership can truly unleash an organisation’s full potential to drive growth and long-term value. They discussed how operating with strong values, leading with emotional intelligence, and articulating a clear journey are crucial in today’s fast-paced and globally connected world.
It’s about more than just achieving short-term goals; it’s about creating sustainable value for all stakeholders.
André would like to thank Dean Stokes and the faculty for hosting him at the University. He is confident that the talented students will have a profound impact and wishes them well on their own leadership journeys.
