Discussing how to lead with emotional intelligence in Buenos Aires

André Lacroix recently visited Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he had the opportunity to meet with some of the talented students from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina ‘Santa María de los Buenos Aires’.

The University is one of Argentina’s leading academic institutions with campuses spread across six cities, celebrated for its emphasis on ethical leadership, moral integrity, and an enduring commitment to social responsibility – qualities that are central to the humanistic model of leadership outlined in André’s book Leadership with Soul.

With alumni employed across a range of critical sectors throughout Latin America and the world more widely, André really enjoyed sitting down with the future leaders of tomorrow and offering a personal perspective on what it takes to succeed in today’s highly competitive world.

During the event, André and the students reflected on his journey, sharing insights from his book on how qualities like emotional intelligence are missing in many corporate boardrooms today and why leadership is a lifelong pursuit that can take years to refine.

An energising part of the event was seeing how the students present rethought their understanding of what good leadership is all about. He hopes the students left his talk with the realisation that being a successful leader is about creating sustainable growth for all your stakeholders putting people at the heart of what we do.

By rethinking what we mean by good leadership, we can all go on to make a meaningful difference wherever we work.

Appreciation is extended to everyone at UCA who made possible this high-energy discussion!
